All Smiles

Despite the fact you were struggling yesterday you were still happy, still smiley.
You gave us smile after smile all throughout the day.
 Each one melts my heart.
Your sisters just swooned over you. They kissed you over and over and squealed at your every move.
You stayed awake hour after hour not wanting to miss a thing.
I love your half smile. It's seriously awesome.
Oh baby boy. You are so incredibly loved.
You always will be.

We took a picture with your baby blanket that Granny made you.
I love you, Caleb Luke. You have changed my life.

We also took a picture with a blanklet from Auntie Angie and the one from Adrianne.

This picture we took this morning. You were grinning in your sleep while
daddy was holding you.

I am so proud of you, Caleb.
I love you. I miss you already.

xoxo

  2. This makes my heart both sing and break, but his smiles right through the end say it all: he lived a happy life. Yes, there were many hard days, but you, Zeb and the girls did such an unbelievable job making sure he knew how loved and adored he was. He had days filled with smiles, and I just knew when I watched him sleep that his dreams were filled with wonderful things. (His little eyebrows and facial expressions always made me think he had amazing dreams.) When times are hard and all you can think of is how perfect he is and how much you miss him, remember this: the Lord matched him with you. Out of all of the mothers, in all of the world, you were the one special enough to be that sweet boy's mother. You are truly amazing. I have always seen in you that same light and strength of spirit that we have all seen in Caleb. I'm so grateful you're my sister and so humbled by the lessons that Caleb has taught me. You, Zeb and the girls have been such an inspiration. Until Saturday, I'm just a phone all away. I can't wait to give you a 20 minute hug. Xoxo, Steph
