Happy Birthday Daddy!

Dana made a party hat for you to wish daddy a happy birthday. So cute! 

After your really hard day yesterday dad was told not to come into the office so he got lots of extra time with you. When we came in you were all smiley. I love your half smile, it's the cutest. Oh that dimple. Gosh I love you.

Here we are feeding you bananas. When you stick your tongue out repeatedly we usually take that as a q to give you something on your binky! 

Dad was eyeing his key lime pie while we sang to him, probably hoping it tasted yummy. A respiratory therapist that makes a mean key lime pie gave us the recipe. Mmmmm delish. 

Your breathing today was calm and slow which makes us so happy. Your oxygen was at 50 percent most of the day. Such a huge difference from yesterday. Dr Nystrom said you look like a different baby today. It's been great to celebrate your wonderful dad while you're having a good day. Your dad is so amazing and he loves you so much. It is so evident in the way he looks at you, holds your hand, and cares for you. 

We are just taking things one day at a time. That's what we've done since the day my water broke with you exactly 8 months ago, October 5th. One day at a time.

Boy am I grateful for another day with you.
